MAria's Story
A blood-bought redeemed believer. She is a wife to Reginald for over thirty years, mother of two fantastic sons and one daughter-in-love, and a grandmother. Maria serves as the director of a wives' ministry and a facilitator for Christian education classes at her church. She also founded the women's prayer team as well as her church's women's magazine. Former Sunday school teacher, Maria has taught at women's conferences for over 15 years on topics such as prayer, marriage, communication, and a host of others to equip women to be the best version of themselves as God's Chosen Vessels. As a prayer intercessor, Maria's passion for empowering and encouraging others through prayer led her to author the blog, Chosen Vessels Pray, and to host a weekly prayer conference call with the same name.
Maria is a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication with a minor in Journalism. She earned a Communications Specialist Certificate and a Master of Arts in Organizational Communications with a minor in Human Resources from Bowie State University, Bowie, Maryland. In addition, Maria recently retired (April 2021) from the Department of Health and Human Services with 32 years of dedicated service. Since retiring, Maria spends her time visiting her grandson and his parents, her parents, and other family members, as well as serving as a women's ministry leader, Wives' Support, and this fall teaching a ten-week, Spiritual Boot Camp: Disciplines of a Godly Woman Focus Study course.
If you desire to become more disciplined, join Maria on Mondays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM beginning, September 13 through November 15. You may register to attend this ten-week study by clicking the link.
